Sleepy Hahas are a local Buffalo band that I’ve done several pieces of work for in the past. They asked me to design another poster for an upcoming concert.

My only real direction was to possibly include something geometric in style. I immediately decided that, while the text for this is imporatnt, I wanted to feature it at the bottom and let the artwork be the centerpeice for the poster.

I found and created a bunch of different elements for the poster, laid and overlaid them until I was happy with the final result. The band’s music is psychedelic in nature, so I incorporated that into the design as well as some geometric elements. I also included several images of the band in the collage, overliad to add to the spacey effects.
